After visiting Intersect Healthcare’s booth at the 2018 HCCA National conference, Kathy DeSnyder’s name was drawn for an Xbox One and a 42” TV to be donated to a children’s hospital of her choice.
Kathy chose to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Kathy is the Director of Quality Compliance at Beaumont Health in Michigan. She has worked there since 2007. With eight hospitals, 174 health centers, and almost 38,000 employees, Beaumont Health “provides patients with compassionate, extraordinary care.”
Kathy chose St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because “the care they’re providing is excellent.” When a friend’s child was a St Jude patient, Kathy was impressed by their broad range of support for both the children and their families.
Founded in 1962 by Danny Thomas, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children’s catastrophic diseases. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Treating some of the sickest kids in the country, St Jude doesn’t charge patients and their families a penny for care.
